LOCATION
The Schlenker Ranch is located approximately 30 air miles easterly of Cody, Wyoming along a very private section of the Lower Greybull River valley. This expansive area is a very lightly populated agricultural region, equidistant from the towering Absaroka Range of the Rocky Mountains, and the Big Horn Mountains. These magnificent mountain ranges have peaks exceeding 13,000 feet in elevation. The ranch lies approximately 25 miles west of the town of Basin, the Big Horn County seat, and approximately 38 miles east of Cody, the Park County seat. Although both towns offer needed supplies and services, the majority of residents in this area rely on Cody for their shopping needs. Cody is one of the most complete small cities in the West. At an elevation of 5095, it is situated 52 miles from the east entrance of Yellowstone National Park.
